IFR Practiced Approach
KTCY RNAV 12
After taking off, contact Norcal 125.35
. Request practiced approach Tracy RNAV 12, starting at OYOSO
with a procedure turn, full stop.
OYOSO is almost over Byron airport (there maybe parachute jumping)
Before arriving at OYOSO
, handed off to Norcal 125.1
.
After crossing OYOSO
and starting the procedure turn, down to 3100, slow down to 90 knots.
After the procedure turn, report established. (On real IFR, ATC will give vectors to the approach; on VFR practiced approach ATC often says "report esablished inbound" then once esablished ATC will clear us for the approach).
If LPV, pass OYOSO
, hold at 2000 to intercept glide slope; if LNAV, descend to 2000 to JENEG
.
Transfer to CTAF. "Tracy traffic, Skyhawk XXXXX, 10 mile final runway 12, intend to make right traffic 30, Tracy."
Circle to land, on the northeast side of the airport. (Because of "Circling NA southwest of Rwy 12-30." on the approach plate.)
